Clay County Students Working Against Tobacco Chapter Wraps Up Another Busy Year!
June 6, 2018

Clay County SWAT clubs have had a busy and exciting year.  Each club has participated in numerous observances and activities such as, Tobacco Free Florida Week, Through with Chew Week, Kick Butts Day, and World No Tobacco Day.  Each club used this platform to educate their peers about the dangers of using tobacco products, secondhand smoke, and the negative impacts of the littering involved.

Two schools we would like to highlight are Oakleaf High School and Wilkison Junior High, both clubs participated in campus clean-ups at their schools to help promote Kick Butts Day on March 21, 2018.  The students collected cigarette butts and other litter associated with tobacco products while also educating their peers about the dangers of using tobacco products.

With ten active clubs, we know that these youth are making a positive impact on their campuses and throughout their community.  We would like to thank all SWAT Club Advisors, active members and schools for making these programs such a huge success. We can not wait to see what the future holds in Clay County.
