Members of Clay County Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT) Chapter Attend Regional Spring Training in Daytona Beach
March 2, 2013

On Saturday, March 2nd, Clay County SWAT youth attended a SWAT regional spring training in Daytona Beach, FL.

The day-long training gave our SWAT youth “MAD Skills”! MAD stands for Message, Audience, Delivery, and is a community event planning template that allows youth to make sure their message is heard loud and clear by the right people!

SWAT Training

Most of the training focused on creating community activities that increase the awareness of candy-flavored tobacco products and how those products target youth into a life-long addiction to tobacco.

Upon returning home, our SWAT youth will be using their “MAD Skills” to develop activities for local Relay for Life celebrations throughout the spring!
